Counting begins in more districts

Kathmandu: Counting of votes began in more districts out of 32 where the voting was held in the first phase on November 26. The vote count began in Sankhawasabha district from 5:30 this evening, Chief Election Officer Prakash Raut said. The counting is going on in the hall of District Coordination Committee. A CC Camera has been installed in the vote counting premises.

Similarly, counting has begun in Dhading district as well, Chief Election Officer Umesh Koirala said.
In Dhading, 79,423 votes were cast in Dhading-1 while 76,950 votes were cast in Dhading-2 in the elections to the House of Representatives.

Likewise, counting has started in Lamjung as well. Out of 115,449 voters in the district, a total of 77,340 voters had used their voting rights in the first phase of the polls held on November 26.
