Kathmandu: The agitating Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) has said it would not involve in the second round of local level election.
The RJP meeting held today at its office Bijulibazar, decided to continue its protest programmes.
Issuing a press release Friday, collegiate coordinator of the party, Mahanth Thakur, argued that the government announced the local level election date against the agreement with it, thereby triggering the party to continue the protest programmes.
The government however had deferred the date of candidacy filing by two days (now June 18) as per the RJP’s request.
Province No 1, 5 and 7 are holding the local level election on June 28.
