Kathmandu, May 27: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala has noted that his party was not abel to implement democratic socialism of BP Koirala. At the party cadres meet and interaction programme organized by Arghakhanchi Samparka Sadan Kathmandu here on Saturday, Dr Koirala said BP’s socialism was a thought to fulfill the minimum basic needs of all people of the country.
Underlining the need of NC leadership to address the problems facing the country, he said BP’s socialism has been overshadowed because of factional feuds surfaced in the party. Koirala stressed the need of creating environment to onboard Madhesi parties to local elections by recognizing their aspirations and urged all parties to come together to address the genuine demands of agitating Madhesi parties.
Arghakhanchi Samparka Sadan Kathmandu Chairperson and former Vice-Chancellor of Mahendra Sanskrit University Dr Madhab Raj Gautam suggested NC leadership to sort out the internal dispute by making a scientific review and engage all out efforts for the prosperity of the country.
