15 old-age farmers honoured

Ratnanagar (Chitwan): The Chitwan Livestock Service Office honoured 15 old-age people who spent their lifetime in agriculture and livestock. Those who crossed 70 were felicitated with cash of Rs 4,000 along with shawl and letter of appreciation.  In-charge of Livestock Service Office Chitwan Dr Ram Kumar Karki shared that the felicitation programme was organized to recognize the contributions of those who spent their lives in the sector and encourage other farmers to adopt agriculture and livestock profession.

The felicitated are Homnath Dhungana, Krishna Bartaula, Narayan Rela, Pitambar Pant, Ram Chandra Poudel, Dil Bahadur Poudel and Khadananda Ghimire. Likewise, Man Bahadur Thapa, Shovakar Chapagain, Toyanath Chapagain, Krishna Baniya, Dinanath Acharya, Kaladhar Poudel, Moti Lal Dhakal and Resham Gotame. Felicitated personality Shovakar Chapagain suggested the government to stop youth from going abroad and alluring them into commercial agriculture and livestock sector.
